About Me

NOTE: This blog is of my opinions alone and not those of any organization or company I am associated with.

I have been fascinated by how people communicate and what motivates them ever since I can remember. Throughout my career, I have developed ways to convey messages for promotional purposes ranging from an artist’s exhibition to launching a new company. I have continually been inspired by the innovations in marketing and how technology is shaping and changing communications and interactions. In my blog, I discuss my perceptions and thoughts in this always changing marketing environment.

With more than nine years experience in non-profits and marketing, I now oversee marketing and communications efforts for McKinley Advisors and and supports business development activities by crafting proposals, building relationships and developing our online presence.

Prior to joining McKinley, Rachel was the Assistant Director of the American University Museum, where she developed and implemented the new museum’s brand, social media, marketing, and media relations strategies while managing the museum and its exhibitions. Rachel is also heavily involved in the American Marketing Association and becoming involved with ASAE. When she is not working or attending a networking event, Rachel can be found doing Pilates or relaxing with friends and a glass of wine.

An avid collector of degrees, I hold a BA and a MA from Tulane University, a Graphic Design Certificate from the Corcoran College of Art + Design, and a MS in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University. I have lived in Washington, DC for seven years, but love to visit my family and friends in New Orleans as often as I can.
